Spanish Whiz was designed as a full student learning hub built to make Spanish learning more interactive, organized, and supportive. During the planning stage, I outlined the key features students would need: a personalized dashboard, a lessons library, live tutoring options, group spaces, online courses, and quick access to resources. I also planned out the design layout, navigation menus, and how each page would support student success.

 

During development, I built the Dashboard as the main center of the student experience, showing progress bars, completed lessons, badges, streaks, weekly goals, and shortcuts to lessons and tutoring. I used Wix’s Content Manager (CMS) to create collections for Lessons, User Profiles, and User Progress, then connected them to dashboard elements using dataset bindings so each student only sees their own information.

 

I added a Resources page with videos, practice materials, worksheets, flashcards, and lesson tools. The Lessons page and Online Courses section were built using Wix Online Programs, giving students a structured and self-paced learning path. The Book a Session page was developed using Wix Bookings, allowing students to schedule or join peer tutoring sessions. For live events and group study opportunities, I used Wix Events & Tickets and connected a Google Calendar so students can keep track of times and topics.

 

To support community learning, I added a Groups page using Wix Groups, giving students a space to collaborate, share tips, and study together. I included a FAQ section built with Wix FAQ to answer common questions about lessons, tutoring, and how to use the site. I also used Checkout & Orders, Wix Business Solutions, and Old Wix Forms and Payments where needed for submitting forms or managing activities. Wix Chat was added so learners can ask questions or get help instantly.

 

Finally, I connected all pages through the Wix Members Area, which gives each student a private login and personalized dashboard experience. All features were tested with sample accounts to make sure navigation, progress tracking, bookings, and course access worked smoothly.

The finished website is a complete Spanish learning hub that includes lessons, online programs, group learning spaces, booking options, events, resources, chat support, and a personalized dashboard—built using multiple Wix apps and tools to create a modern, student-friendly learning experience.
